My daughter Atara and I visit local schools and organizations on a very special mission. Atara is a wonderfully friendly girl with Down Syndrome. I have designed an entertaining, interactive workshop that we deliver to students. Our aim is to sensitize others to being with people who may have special needs while breaking down barriers, including fears and misconceptions. By the end of the workshop, Atara has most often made many new friends.
Types of places we'd visit include: youth organizations (religious and non religious), elementary schools, Scouts, clubs...
